 Newsbin Compressed Headers Speedup
Article We are pleased to introduce compressed header downloads for Newsbin.

Compressed headers allows for up to 15 times faster header downloads using the latest version of Newsbin without the need for extra software. This functionality is built into Newsbin.

How do I get it? Just download the latest beta version of Newsbin at: http://www.newsbin.com/index.php?mode=files&task=viewfile&file=16

Open the server options for Astraweb. Select and enable "Header Compression, YENC XZVER support".

Thats it! You should see a huge speedup in header downloads.

The speed of the compression relies on the speed of your PC. So if you have a faster PC, you will see faster compressed header downloads.
